If you compare these two wireless neckbands from OnePlus, you won’t find any significant differences between them. Both have the latest Bluetooth chipset and magnetic controls and are IP55 splash proof.
The insignificant difference lies with the weight. The newer version, OnePlus bullets Z2 is 2.5% heavier than the older one, which is unnoticeable.
OnePlus Z2 is made up of skin-friendly materials that offer you a comfortable fit and long listening experience.

OnePlus fast pairing | No | Yes |
The main difference between OnePlus BWZ2 and BWZ is the sound quality & technology they use. However, if you are a normal user, either of them will not disappoint you. Both earphones deliver high quality audio, and extends support to mic & voice assistants.
The driver size of the new one, BWZ2 is little larger than BWZ. As a result, it offers deep bass which is far better than BWZ. If you are a bass lover, you should go with OnePlus Bullets Z2 only.
Now coming to the hands-free calls, again OnePlus BWZ2 takes the lead over BWZ. This is because OnePlus Z2 uses AI noise cancellation technology which suppresses the surrounding noise better than ENx (environmental noise cancellation). OnePlus BWZ uses the latter hence it is less effective in offering clearer calls than BWZ2.
The last difference between the two is faster pairing. OnePlus bullets Z2 supports this (but only with OnePlus smartphones).
Battery & Charging | Oneplus BWZ2 vs BWZ

If you are searching for a neckband with long battery life, OnePlus bullets Z2 is a good option. Not only does it offer about 30 hours of backup at 50% volume, but the ASAP fast charging is like cherry on the top. The 220 mAh large battery offers approx 20 hours of playtime upon charging for just 10 minutes.
On the other hand, the OnePlus BWZ lasts for only 17 hours (at 50% volume), which is 44% less battery juice than BWZ2.
Closing Thoughts
Since the price of both OnePlus BWZ and BWZ2 is the same, I would prefer going with OnePlus BWZ2. OnePlus has upgraded it with better noise cancellation technology & larger bass drivers. Furthermore, the extra long battery backup compels everybody to buy OnePlus bullets wireless Z2.
