If you look at the design part of both the earphones, it’s basically the same. Both support Bluetooth v5.0 and are waterproof. You can control the music & calls the way you want via button controls in the neckband.
However, the look of OnePlus bullets Z is better than Rockerz 255. It feels more premium & stylish, you’d love to use it over your neck. The earbuds of OnePlus BWZ are designed in such a way that they won’t fall easily when you run or move around. boAt 255 also have ear-hooks which hold the buds to your ears.

Now coming to the sound quality. Talking about the boAt rockerz 255, it supports boAt signature audio for rich and HD sound quality. Despite being priced under 1K, it offers you an excellent listening experience. The bass depth is very good.
On the other hand, OnePlus Bullets Z offers great music quality and bass. In addition, it supports environmental noise cancellation (ENX), delivering crystal clear hands-free calls. If you need a Bluetooth earphone with mic for calls & meetings, OnePlus BWZ is recommended.

Here, OnePlus Bullets Z beats boAt Rockerz 255 completely. This is because it offers about 17 hours of seamless battery backup against 8 hours of boAt Rockerz 255. (That’s more than 110% difference!)
Secondly, boAt 255 doesn’t support fast (ASAP) charging. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to fully charge. On the other hand, OnePlus BWZ gets fully charged in less than 1 hour, thanks to its fast charging. From the battery perspective too, OnePlus BWZ is what I recommend.
Closing Thoughts
We are done with the comparison of OnePlus BWZ and boAt 255 neckband. What I can say is for the long battery life, premium feel, clearer calls and sound quality, go with OnePlus BWZ. In April 2022, we have the upgraded version, called OnePlus BWZ2.
Alternatively, if you want complete value for money in a neckband with a price tag of under 1000 rupees, go with boAt 255, especially when you’re just starting out with Bluetooth earphones.
